Margaret Sharpe Fair,92,died on October

12,2009,at The Orchard in Ridgeland,

Mississippi.Funeral services were held at

11:00 a.m.Wednesday,Oct.14th,at First

Presbyterian Church in Louisville,

Mississippi,with Rev.Bob Schwanebeck and

Rev.Scott Phillips officiating.Interment was

in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mrs.Fair was born August 18,1917,to Mr.

and Mrs.Elmer Clinton Sharpe of Booneville.

She graduated from Central High School in

Jackson prior to attending Millsaps College

and later graduating from the University of

Mississippi.

While at Ole Miss,she met Charles Dickson

Fair of Louisville.They were married on May

1,1940,and made their home in Louisville.

They had two daughters,Stewart Lyons Fair

Barbour and Margaret Sharpe Fair DeVries.

Mrs.Fair was a faithful member of First

Presbyterian Church of Louisville.

Mrs.Fair was preceded in death by her

husband,Charles Dickson Fair,her two

daughters,Stewart Fair Barbour and

Margaret Sharpe Fair DeVries,and a grand-

daughter,Virginia Stewart White DeVries.

Mrs.Fair is survived by her five grandchil-

dren,Margaret Fair Barbour Hurst,William

Henry Barbour,III and Charles Frank Fair

Barbour of Jackson,Mississippi,Margaret

White Moore of Upperville,Virginia,and

Katherine Fair White of Raleigh,North

Carolina,her ten great-grandchildren,and

her sister,Mrs.Robert R.Swittenberg.

Pallbearers were Johnny Fair,George Fair

Frank Fair,James Mayo,Rod Russ,and

Streety Minor.

The family requests memorials in lieu of

flowers to either French Camp Academy,1

Fine Pl,French Camp,MS 39745;or First

Presbyterian Church,121 South Columbus

Ave.,Louisville,MS 39339.
