On Tuesday, September 29, 2009 at 6:00 pm there will be a Private Applicators Meeting held at the Winston County Extension Office. There will be a $10 fee.
REPM to meet Oct. 1 at City Hall
The REPM group will meet again on Oct. 1 in Louisville City Hall at 1:00PM and will feature Carolyn Palmer as speaker. She is the REPM District III Director.
Forestry meeting to be held Oct. 1
There will be a Forestry meeting held on Thursday night, October 1 beginning at 6:30 pm at the Winston County Extension Office. Please call on Monday September 28th to reserve your spot. 773-3091 or 773-5531.

November 19 - 'Low Maintenance Gardens and Landscapes' This presentation will provide the information you need for a great landscape with less work.
December 3 - 'The Making of Pepper-Jack Cheese Smoked Sausage' The meat lab will show how pepper-jack cheese smokes sausage is made. This is a very interesting program.

Consignment Sale
There will be a Fall/Winter Children's Consignment Sale held on October 2-3 at First Baptist Church Louisville, MS. To register your items go to www.lilblessingsconsignment.org. District Superintendent Isaac Harris and the District Twelve (12) Church of God in Christ will host the 2009 Jurisdictional Crusade Revival. The host church is Center Hill Church of God in Christ, Superintendent Isaac Harris, Pastor; Highway 15 south; Louisville. The 2009 Jurisdictional Crusade Revival: October 1- 2. The Crusade Service time will be 7PM nightly; Thursday Intercessory Prayer 6PM-7PM. Friday, Workshop 5:30PM-6:30PM; Intercessory Prayer 6:30PM-7PM. District Twelve welcome our leaders of the Jurisdiction Bishop Hollis Musgrove, Jurisdictional Prelate, Superintendent Kippy Paige, Department of Evangelism, President, and Evangelist Lucy McGee, Department of Evangelism, Elect Lady. Revival to be held

New Prospect Church Anniversary
New Prospect M. B. Church, located on HWY 490, will be having their 37th Pastor Anniversary to be held on October 4, 2009 at 3:00 pm. Everyone is invited to come and be a part of the celebration. Guest speaker is Rev. Joe Glass. Dinner will be served.
Gully Reunion set for Oct. 4

Winston Republican women to meet
The next meeting of the Winston County Republican Women will be held on Monday, October 5 at 12 noon in the Tiak O'Khata Room at Lake Tiak O'Khata Resort. The guest speaker will be Senator Lydia Chassaniol of Winona, chairman of the Senate's Tourism Committee. Senator Chassaniol will speak on tourism in Mississippi and will provide a unique perspective to the operations of the Senate as its only female Republican. The public is invited to come and enjoy a Dutch treat lunch and to become better informed about our state's tourism opportunities.
Revival to be held Oct. 5-9

Computer workshop set Oct. 9
Beginning/Intermmediate Internet Classes will be held at the Winston County Library on Friday, October 9 beginning at 9:00 am. Class will be held from 9:00 - 11:30 and from 12:30- 3:00. LHS Homecoming rescheduled
LHS Homecoming events were set for September 25 and is now postponed to October 9, 2009 at 7:00 pm due to weather. Band performace will be before starting of game. Homecoming ceremony will be at halftime.
AARP meeting set for Oct. 14
Winston County Area AARP Chapter No. 2859 will hold their Oct 14 meeting in City Hall at 2:00pm Members are asked to be present.
Steak supper planned Oct. 17
Indian Springs Assembly of God will be serving a Ribeye Steak Supper Saturday, October 17 beginning at 5 p.m. Steak plates will be $12 and chicken strip plates will be $7. Take-out plates will be available. Come and join the congregation for food and fellowship. The church is located at the intersection of Hwy. 25 and Mt. Calvary Church Rd., 12 miles south of Louisville or 6 miles north of Hwy. 19.
Usher Seminar to be held Oct. 17
An Usher Seminar will be held at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church on October 17, 2009. State usher President, Rev. James Green of Oxford MS will be guest presenter. The seminar will begin at 10:00 am. All ushers are invited to come and be enlightened by this great man of God.
Family Health Day to be held Oct. 17
The Winston County Diabetes Coalition will be hosting a Family Health Day on Saturday, October 17, at the First Assembly of God Church at 203 Ivy Avenue from 10:00 am - 1:00 pm.
