Services at Butler Pentecostal Sept. 18
Pastor Rayburn Druey wants to invite everyone to Butler Pentecostal Church in Shuqulak, MS for 3 special services this weekend - Friday, Sept. 18th at 7:30pm, Saturday, Sept. 19th at 7:30pm, and Sunday, Sept. 20th at 10:00am. Gospel Singing Sept. 19
There will be a gospel singing held at Sherwood Community Center on September 19 at 7 pm. Featured singers are "Eternity Trio," "Joy Card," and others. Everyone is welcome to come join us for a great night of Southern Gospel music and fellowship. Concessions will be available. Admission is free but a love offering will be received. Kids and teens nature photo event set Sept.19
This hands-on workshop is designed for young photographers of all skill-levels, whether it is the first time youbring a camera to the outdoors, or if you are a former winner of our photo contest. Photography is not just about pointing and pressing a button; it's a decision-making process. It is also just plain fun, and it helps you look much more carefully at the world around you. We will help you learn how to take great photos in the wild, what to look for, how to respect wildlife and much more. Even preschool children can understand using the camera for point-and-shoot photography and school-age children can express themselves through photography. If you don't have a camera to use, we will provide you with a disposable camera. The class will be outdoors, please be prepared with long pants, closed shoes, sunscreen, etc. Registration is required. Women's Workshop Sept. 19
Bethel Harmony and Mt Olive District Ministers' Wives & Women Evangelist will be holding their annual women conference workshop to be held at The Friendship M.B. Church, Jones Ave, Louisville MS on September 19. Registration held from 8:30 - 9 am; registration fee is $20. Conference begins at 9 am. Trail ride set for Sept. 19
A Trail Ride will be held on Saturday, September 19 in south Winston County. It will be leaving the Indian Springs church parking lot at 10 A.M. Bring your sack lunch for the trail. Food will be served at the end of the ride by the ladies of Indian Springs.
"If you don't have a horse, come ride in one of the wagons with us!" The church is located at the intersection of Hwy. 25 and Mt. Calvary Church Rd., 12 miles south of Louisville or 6 miles north of Hwy. 19.
Kickball fundraiser set
There will be a kickball tournament on Saturday, September 19, 10 a.m., at Ivy Park North, with a prize of $200 going to the winning team.
All proceeds from this event will go to ward DRY TEARS organization (www.drttears.org), a non-profit Christian humanitarian organization that provides deep-water wells in Africa that have no clean water source.
For the event teams may have 8-12 players, 7th grade and older, and must have at least 3 females on each team.
Cost for registration is $5 per team member. Entrance to the event is $5, children 12 and under may attend for free. Concessions, including hamburgers and hotdogs, will be sold at the event. Team registration forms can be picked up at the First Methodist Church Office and must be turned in with entry fee by Wednesday September 16.
Three members of the First United Methodist Youth were inspired by a recent mission tripin North Carolina to hold a fundraiser for the Dry Tears organization. The kickball tournament will be their first organized fundraiser for Dry Tears.

Harvest Program set for Sept. 20
The New Prospect M.B. Church will be having a Harvest Program on Sunday, September 20 at 3p.m, which was requested by Bro. Otis Mitchell asking all of his family, friends, neighbors and church family to attend.
Gospel Singing at Greensboro CME
There will be a Gospel singing, honoring the Mighty Disciples of Louisville, held at Greensboro CME Church on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 5pm. The singing is sponsored by Family and Friends. The pastor of Greensboro CME Church is Rev. Carl Swanigan. The featuring guest group is Meashell Lee -n- The Anointed Ones, from Tuscaloosa AL. Home groups are Disciples of Christ and Lonely Valley Traveling Choir.
Rives reunion set
Annual Rives Reunion of all family and friends will be held September 20 at Betheaden Community center (old Betheden school) at 10:00 a.m. Come bring a dish and enjoy food and fellowship.
Revival set Sept. 20-22
Revival will be held at West and Whitehall UMC September 20-22. The speaker will be Reverend Ginger Holland, president of the MSFUME. Sunday, September 20 at Pleasant Hill UMC will also be a dinner at 5:30 pm and service will be at 7 pm with the Wildwood Choir. Monday, Sept 21 at Whitehall UMC service will be at 7pm. Tuesday, Sept.22 at Center Ridge UMC service will be at 7pm.
Kids Crusade Sept. 21

Tummy Safe Class

LHS Class of 1979 Reunion, Sept. 25 and 26
The LHS Class of 1979 will celebrate its 30th anniversary with a weekend reunion on Friday Sept. 25 and Saturday Sept 26. Classmates are invited to attend and sit together at the 7pm Homecoming football game on Friday night (the 25th) on the LHS campus. The game will begin at 7pm. There will be a potluck picnic on Saturday the 26 at 1 pm at Lake Tiak O'Khata right outside the main restaurant. The gazebo will be used in case of rain. For the picnic, classmates are asked to bring enough food for their families and four other people. Drinks, ice, and paper goods will be provided. Revival at FUMC
The Louisville First United Methodist Church invites everyone to a revival held Sunday through Wednesday night, Sept. 27-30 at 7 pm nightly. A covered dish supper will be Sunday night at 6:00. Winston Republican women to meet
The next meeting of the Winston County Republican Women will be held on Monday, October 5 at 12 noon in the Tiak O'Khata Room at Lake Tiak O'Khata Resort. The guest speaker will be Senator Lydia Chassaniol of Winona, chairman of the Senate's Tourism Committee. Senator Chassaniol will speak on tourism in Mississippi and will provide a unique perspective to the operations of the Senate as its only female Republican.
