Mrs. Irene Etheridge McKnight

Mrs. Irene Etheridge McKnight, 95, died Saturday, May 16, 2009, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville. Graveside services were held at 2 P.M. Sunday, May 17, at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS, with Rev. James Mills and Mr. Danny Cheatham officiating. Interment was in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. McKnight was born November 1, 1913, in Winston County, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of Gum Branch Baptist Church.

She is survived by one brother, Roy (Ann) Etheridge of Louisville; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were David Etheridge, Rusty Mitchell, Andrew Mitchell, Quinton Stevenson, Billy Joe Carter, and Michael Carter. Memorials may be made to Gum Branch Baptist Church.
