Winston County Library Book Sale

Friends of the Winston County Library will hold a Book Sale in the library, Thursday through Saturday, October 2-4 during library hours. Books of all types will be available at bargain prices, especially cookbooks. Come and boost your library.

The FRIENDS OF DEAN PARK presents its 1st ANNUAL HARVESTFEST, Saturday, October 4, 10 a.m. - 7p.m. at Dean Park (Center Ridge Community), Hwy. 15 South, Louisville, MS. Free entry to the park for the festival

The festival will consist of:

National Wildlife Refuge Week

celebrated

The Friends of Noxubee Refuge invite the public to a free and informative celebration as part of National Wildlife Refuge Week. This event is designed to increase appreciation of wildlife. It will feature wildlife exhibits from the Mississippi Natural History Museum and MSU Forestry and Entomology Departments. There will be demonstrations of archery, hatch throwing, and spin casting. Face painting and nature crafts for children. Free hot dogs, live music, canoeing on Bluff Lake, and more. This event will take place Saturday, October 4, In and around the Refuge visitor center from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.

ECCC Cake Decorating

Class Gets Underway Oct. 13

Registration and the first of six sessions on cake decorating will be held Monday, Oct. 13 at East Central Community College in Decatur. Activities begin at 6 p.m. in the Gold Room of Mabry Memorial Cafeteria.

Classes, which are scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m., continue on successive Mondays through November 17. Joy Munn of Decatur serves as instructor.

Cost is $50 per student. Participants are also responsible for purchasing a cake decorating kit.
