Many gathered on August 9, when Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church held an appreciation program for Aline Haynes. The theme was "The way you do the things you do."
It was a day of emotion as members of the community addressed the crowd with Haynes' list of contributions and activism in the community.
"You will never know the lives you have touched," said Tracy Yates as she described Haynes many activities to help others.
It was a day, the community aimed to represent just a part of what Haynes has done for the community and others.
