Services for Mary Lynn Cheatham were held Friday, April 25, 2008 at 11 a.m. from Salem Baptist Church in the Burnside Community of Neshoba County. Rev. Stephen Cannon and Rev. Duaine Morgan officiated. Burial followed in Salem Cemetery under the direction of McClain-Hays Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cheatham, 80, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008 in the Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a native and lifelong resident of the Burnside Community of Neshoba County. She was retired as supervisor for the WIC Distribution Center in Philadelphia and formerly worked as a teacher's aide at Neshoba Central. Mrs. Cheatham was a member of Salem Baptist Church.

Survivors include daughter, Janie Cheatham Cannon of Philadelphia; sons, Danny Cheatham of Louisville, Steve Cheatham of Philadelphia, and Mark Cheatham of Philadelphia; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and their families.

Pallbearers were Stewart Cannon, Josh Cannon, Chris Cheatham, David Cheatham, William Lewis Jones, Gene Bates, Cole Cheatham, Carl Jones, Earnest Daniels, and Clayton Jones.
