Aldermen hold brief March meeting

While the Louisville Board of Aldermen were set to meet April 1, the March 18 meeting was a brief endeavor of several zoning issues and payments by the city.

The aldermen first reviewed plans and ordinances for Historical Preservation in Louisville. The board table any decisions on the items until a full review of he documents could be made.

In other matters covered March 15, the board:

€ Approved the Planning and Zoning Board denial of the petition to rezone property off of Hwy 14 West owned by R&D properties.

€ Referred the petition for a variance to place a manufactured home at 620 Brooksville Road to the Planning and Zoning Board.

€ Approved purchase of a lawn mower for the cemetery cleanup.

€ Paid workers compensation for the quarter.

€ Paid for surveying at the airport in the amount of $14,771.81 which will be reimbursed through a federal grant.

€ Paid insurance policies for automobiles and commercial property in the amount of $19,525.

€ Paid to have the Old National Guard roof repaired.

€ Approved attendance of several conferences by city officials.

€ Set a HOME grant public hearing for April 15 at 5p.m. in the board room.
