The Noxapater Garden Club hosted their annual tasting tea Nov. 15 to help raise funds for ongoing projects such as the improvement of the Noxapater Park.

"The Noxapater Park is wonderful and continuing to grow," said Faith Estes, Noxapater Garden Club member, as she talked with the group of about 125 attendees.

The tea not only introduced area attendees to delicious recipes from the Noxapater Garden Club cookbook but also gave the garden club a chance to illustrate future plans for the funds and future fundraising plans. About 125 people enjoyed the slice of the many different recipes.

The funds for the event including the sales of the Noxapater Garden Club cookbook will go toward improving Noxapater Park needed projects.

The Garden is in the process of a memorial wall near the playground area of the park and are selling memorial ceramic plaques to be place on the wall for $10 each. The club has over 100 blocks for the area.

The group was very proud of their contributions to the park and its continued growth and improvement.

The Garden Club also gave away dozens of door prizes donated by local businesses and individuals including: Choctaw Glove, Creative Interiors, Honeybees, Darby's, Terry Martin Automotive, Tips&Toes, Wal-Mart, Bet's Gathered Treasures, Collections of Noxapater, Yarbrough's Garden Center, The Other Side, Woody's, Loretta's Beauty Shop, Winston County Coop, Designs by Faith, Little Tucks, Linda's Beauty Shop, Sara Watson's Mary Kay and many others.
