The 2009 East Central Mississippi Job Fair held in Philadelphia was touted by Winston County Economic Development Director Gerald Mills as a success.

The Winston County Economic Development Partnership provided a 27-passenger van from Winston County to the event and had full capacity. Mills reported others from Winston County also attended the event.

The job fair had 52 employers and 1440 resumes submitted to those employers. The employers made 576 job offers following the job fair and also touted the events success.

"Very good attendance," remarked one employer in the after event survey.

Most of the employers made positive comments of the organization and events but one did not that "Not enough qualified applicants" attended the event.
