Police investigate accidental shooting
A Louisville teen is recovering in a Jackson Hospital after being shot in what police investigators call an accidental shooting.
“It appears to be an accidental shooting at this time,” said Louisville Police Investigator Gerald Hayes. Hayes added, “The investigation is ongoing.”
The shooting occurred July 9 near the Dirt Cheap Parking lot off North Church Avenue around 10:30 p.m. The injured teen was hit in the upper right part of his chest and is in recovering condition in Jackson. From the initial investigation information, two juveniles were examining the handgun when it discharged hitting one of the teens.
Hayes added that rumors of gangs or gang affiliations to the crime were false.
A carnival was being held near the location the night of the incident.
It is very sad and unfortunate that a city with so much potential is well on it's way to hell in a hand basket..."Centuries of tradition but yet, impeded by progress." It's time for the community as a whole to come together, take a stand, and make a change. You simply cannot move forward if you are going to continue covering up dirt and corruption...It is what it is!
It blows my mind that the community leaders in Louisville, particularly those within the many pulpits, are not in extreme uproar about the city's destruction.
Help me out...All of the jobs leave, everyone's laid off, and a state of the art prison facility is built. What in the hell are we thinking, folks? All of this is by design and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure it out.
It's quite obvious the leaders in Louisville are not interested in what kids are doing, learning, or anything else other than filling their own pockets...
.There are more banks than anything else.Thats because of old money. The powers that be dont want industry.nor do they want better education, because if either of these came to be,they would lose power over the poor uneducated young and old.I grew up in louisville, went to school and graduated h.s.there,then the teachers cared and knew most of our parents.now children are the parents and neither care about the next generation.I thank god my grandchildren are not there.
It is what it is! So, stop it before it gets out of hand. It's bad enough the city can't attract new residents due to the lack of jobs, discrimination, and failing school. Please intervene and keep the gang thugs out...Louisville cannot survive that!!!
