The Friends of Dean Park, Inc. will hold its Second Annual HarvestFest, Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. at Dean Park (Center Ridge Community), Hwy 15 South, Louisville.

There will be a $1 entry fee for all adults. The festival will consist of: HarvestFest Parade, a raffle, cake walk with prizes, Food and Merchandise Vendors, water slide, jumper with balls and basketball. There will be games including: sack race, bean bag toss, and water balloon toss. There will be prizes for winners of all games. The Friends of Dean Park used this project last year to raise funds to help plant trees, flowers, grass and shrubbery for beautifying of the park. This year's funds will be used to help the Winston county supervisors replace the playground equipment in Dean Park which many supporter of the park deem as long overdue.

"Never doubt that a group of thoughtful committee citizens can change the community...," stated Elmetra Patterson, Vice President of The Friends of Dean Park. She added, "Please come out and support our effort.
